Nora Winsryg-Karasik, LCSW
Nora is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who earned her Bachelor’s degree from Sarah Lawrence College and her Master of Social Work from Smith College. She operates from a relational, strengths-based, collaborative, and client-centric framework, utilizing a variety of evidence-based interventions tailored to individual client needs. Nora’s toolkit includes Cognitive Processing Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Mindfulness. Her clinical practice encompasses the treatment of issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, anger, life transitions, substance use, and traumatic bereavement.
Passionate about social justice, Nora endeavors to infuse her work with a culturally competent and anti-oppressive perspective. Outside of her professional endeavors, she enjoys cooking, gardening, reading, thrift shopping, and taking long walks with her dogs.
