CrescentCare at a Glance
Each year, CrescentCare’s 275 employees serve the people of Southeast Louisiana at four locations: our MidCity and St. Roch clinics in New Orleans, Baton Rouge Legal Services, and Exchange Support Services in Houma - as well as at numerous community outreach and partner events across the New Orleans area.
Our approach focuses on creating a medical home, where we provide wraparound care for our 12,800 patients. We provide primary medical care, pediatrics, dentistry, psychiatry and behavioral health therapy, with specialized programs for women’s health, sexual wellness, gender care, and LGBTQ wellness. Support services include case management, chronic disease management, therapeutic groups, peer support, life skills, nutrition, advocacy, insurance enrollment, tobacco cessation, harm reduction, health education and addiction recovery programs.
The NO/AIDS Task Force was founded forty-one years ago and focused on health equity for people living with HIV. We grew, expanded and became a community health center in 2014 and changed our name to the NO/AIDS Task Force doing business as CrescentCare to better meet the evolving health needs in our community. As a community health center we serve anyone who needs healthcare. We create pathways for traditionally underserved populations to overcome obstacles to medical care and lead healthier lives. We focus on certain marginalized communities including the LGBTQ community, individuals experiencing homelessness, lower income people, the Latinx immigrant communities, individuals of color, service industry, and individuals living with HIV.

CrescentCare redeveloped the 33,000 square-foot historic building at 2515 Canal Street to become our flagship MidCity clinic location. This centrally located state-of-the-art medical center has easy access to public transportation. With a 40% increase in exam rooms and behavioral health spaces, the beautiful new location will enable us to better serve our community.
